Do I need to change anything on a laptop when moving to another country which uses 240 instead of 120 voltage?

Someone has my laptop and telling me it needs some changes to use in Zambia. I thought it is the transformer but most gadgets I see can step down up to 240 volts. I’m wondering which is this thing that will make the computer to blow if not changed. Someone tell me what it is and how to go about it and what to be careful of. Advise me please.

Most laptops have autovolt power supplies(charger). 100~240Vac. Check your laptop’s adapter voltage rating. If your laptop’s adapter has this rating, you can use anywhere in the globe.

If it only marked 110V/120V, buy step down adapter.
