How can you reply to Celebrities on twitter so they can see it and they can send you one back?

I want to know how you can reply to celebrities and they reply back to you because Ryan Secrest just send a fan a message so how!?

for example, if i were to send a message to John Mayer, i would type in the “what are you doing” box: @johncmayer hi John!

the message goes to their @mentions page and they can read it. now, getting celebs to reply tho is another thing. not everyone gets a reply back so you’ll need a bit of luck with that.
