How can I run sound from my cable box through my computer with Realtek HD 7.1 hardware?
I have my cable box hooked up to my monitor through composite wiring, works great. Now I have 2 audio cables to use or an optical cable for sound. I have the Realtek HD Audio software and hardware, and a optical connect on the back of my computer. But no inputs on my Logiteck system. Now is the optical connect on my computer for input or output of sounds? When I connect the box to the computer through optical nothing happens. Is there somthing I need to enable? Please Help TV with no sound sucks!
