is there a way to have my AIM chat box have a big space for the conversation small space for typing permanent?

i know you can readjust it but whenever u exit the window it turns back. how do u make it permanent?

Yes. Use a ‘third party client’ like Pidgin (link is below) and the shape of the window is saved from conversation to conversation. It also provides some additional benefits – like the ability to sign onto multiple networks (like having AIM and MSN screennames with one buddy list) and no advertisements.
