Do you burn calories while your muscles recover in the aftermath of a workout?
I think I remember hearing that the way muscles are built is that they are broken down durring a workout (weight lifting, sprinting .etc) and then they heal themselves and come back bigger and stronger. I am correct. I cant seem to find any site that shows like “how muscles work” I want to see like a little diagram that shows the steps. My theory is that a short but rigorous workout can be really good for burning calories and fat.
Yes you do. Muscles burn calories so when someone works out and starts building muscle, that muscle is actually burning calories. One very important thing to remember is that when you work out with weights and are trying to build muscle, always keep you workouts at a maximum of 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, your body will actually start to eat away at your muscle and I’m sure you don’t want that. Also, you always want to replenish your muscles after a workout, so eat something like a baked potato or protein shake to do so. Believe me on this one. I started working out with weights a few months ago and I went from being 5’11 175lbs to 5’11 205lbs and it’s all muscle! So I hope this helps out!
