how can i upload music onto the sandisk micro 2 gb for a cell phone/mp3 use?

i have i tunes and windows media and limewire i tryed all different ways to get music on to the cingular phone san disk micro soo if any one has done this in the past it would be sick if u could just say how you did it bc when ever i try to paste songs or files on it, it tells me the disk is right procteted and im about to rip my compture offf the wall thanks

the top left side of the adapter is a little grey thing, push it the opposite way, so its not on hold
