How long does it take for roots to show?

I dyed my hair last Saturday at my mom’s, and I’m wondering how long it takes for roots to start showing? I went from medium brown to dark brown, so my mom doesn’t think that my roots will really show. Also, how long do you have to wait before you can dye your hair again? One of my friends said that you have to wait two weeks, and for the original color to grow back it takes about two months. Is this true? Helpful answers appreciated, thanks.

it depends on how fast your hair grows but mine usually start to show around the 3 week point. and you must wait at least 6 weeks to die your hair again, otherwise your hair is more likely to get damaged and fall out.
