Why isn’t my chat voice working?

i have an hp windows vista and everything works fine but when i went into a chatroom, it says that your system doesn’t support the required audio system. (something like that) how do i get that fixed or what do i do. will this affect yahoo messenger also while doing a voice conversation?

hi. is your sound card working ok, best to check in device manager make sure no yellow astrix mark is there. what site you trying by the way? ive never had prob with audio and websites ,oh and vista hav been having problems with drivers as well, but think they begining to sort it out now.
run a test on headset is best thing 1st using audio properties, then test hardware
