Increasing your GPA is important for many reasons. This will increase your chances of acceptance into graduate programs and even make a candidate stronger for a job. Simple math is used to determine your GPA, and simple math can be used to calculate their projected useful GPA. Overall, more units you have taken, the harder it is to make the upward movement of your GPA. In some cases, you will have to take many units to increase your GPA to your goal. To maximize your GPA from now on, it obviously will to maintain a 4.0GPA (up to college level). If you can not maintain a 4.0 GPA higher than their current grade point average will have a positive impact in their lower GPA.

Here are some examples:

Current GPA 2.75 (150 units): The target = 3.00GPA – you have to maintain a GPA from 4.0 to 37.5 units to reach their goal

Current GPA of 2.75 (50 units): The target = "3.00GPA should only need to maintain a GPA of 4.0 to 12.5 units to achieve its goal of

Current GPA of 2.75 (50 units): The target = 3.00GPA-that would have to maintain a 3.5 GPA for 25 units to reach their goal

Current GPA 2.75 (50 units): The target = 3.00GPA-that would have to maintain a 3.1 average for 125 units to reach their goal

Current GPA of 3.5 (180 units): The goal = 3.75GPA-that would have to maintain a GPA of 4.0 for 180 units to reach their goal

Other examples of calculations for the maximum possible GPA:

currently have 3.0 (150 units), the remaining 50 units – max can be obtained GPA 3.25

currently have 3.5 (200 units), 25 remaining units – would be possible to obtain GPA 3.56

currently have 2.0 (100 units), 100 units remaining – max can be obtained GPA 3.00

currently have 1.5 (100 units), the remaining 150 units – maximum GPA is possible to be 2.50
