How does shipping work on Craigslist?

Do i ship the item to the person directly? Or do i ship the item to Craigslist, and they will ship the person the item? And how do i get the money from him? Please Help Me!!!
And can they ship cash to me, or do they only ship checks

craigslist is not meant for selling or buying where item has to be shipped..
they were originally and still are intended for local sales only – anyone who wishes to ship an item they sell or buy there are just looking to get ripped off… tons and tons of people from places like nigeria will reply to ad, sound at first like normal local person, then offer to pay through paypal or with money order for item to be shipped to son in army over seas or etc.. then paypal payment is actually fraud and not real payment (they will send paypal looking notifications of payment) or money order is fake and you won’t find out until 2 weeks later when deposit in your bank is reversed leaving you with no payment and bank fee for returned payment… now even if you buy something and even if you use paypal, there is no recourse if they never send item to you – no feedback, paypal will not help you, and cops are too busy at donut shop to even understand any of this online stuff aside from how to access porn and online donut sites
