How Running Helps
Help! How do I get my computer running like it was when I first bought it?
I know I may lose some information on it, but I really need to get it working much better. I tried System Restore and that didn’t do it. Any suggestions?
the only way to do that is TO REFORMAT YOUR COMPUTER. I can also give some suggestions after reformat that can speed up your computer
1. never have partitions
2. defragment your drives. the best time to defragment your files is when you had installed everything you need in your pc. (google it if you dont know how to defrag)
3. install cooling fans on your CPU preferably exhaust type
4. keep STARTUP PROGRAMS to minimum (the place where you can edit your start up programs vary according to your Operating system, try to google it)
5. increase you virtual memory. it is in the systems menu in the control panel. do not allocate too much because too much will be decreasing your pcs performance. if you have a dual core/ core 2 duo with 2gig RAM, 1.5 gig to 3gig of virtual memory is sufficient.
6. overclock your hardware. this is not advisable for beginners though
