Anyone who works in a photoshop printing off photographs i really need your help!?

Hi I just wondered if you go to a photobooth and have passport photographs printed off how they do it as I’ve been searching the internet to see if you can print them @ home And apparently you can I can get them the right size but they don’t look right when they are printed off does anyone know what type of paper the photobooths use? Any help and advice is much appreciated Thankyou in advance.

it used to be a special Kodak paper and developer in one. Just like the old instant cameras. You should be ok though with a good ink printer and quality paper.
