How do I download Internet Explorer 7?
I have went to Microsoft’s website and clicked the install button. I saved it to my computer, and now when I try to continue the installation process, a window pops up that says, ” this installation does not support your operating system’s current Service Pack version.” My computer uses Windows XP. I currently have Internet Explorer 6 installed.
I know that many people don’t care for Internet Explorer, but the application I am trying to run for school requires it. Please don’t comment and tell me to use a browser other than Internet Explorer.

First, in IE6, click the Tools and Update menu option. Be sure to download and install all security requirements and that may include an service pack or two that your computer doesn’t have. I think that is the message that windows is giving you – that your computer needs more updates before using IE7.
Second, in the above, check to ensure that IE8 isn’t shoved at you. If listed, uncheck it as that isn’t what you want.
After doing this update, then check again for IE7 and I think it will install okay…
