How Numbers Came To Be

N.Y lottery numbers come up 9-1-1 on 9/11. PROBABILITY?

A) the new york state lottery uses balls numbered 0-9 circulating in three bins. to select the winning sequence, one ball is chosen from each bin. what is the posibitiyl that the sequence 9-1-1 is the sequence selected on any particular day?(HINT it may be helpful to think about the chosen sequence as a three digit number.)

B) what approach(classical, relative frequency, or subjective) did you use to obtain the probability in part A

does anyone know how to do this? im so lost =[

There are 1000 different 3-digit numbers, including 0-0-0 and other numbers with leading zeros, so the odds of any particular combination occurring on any given day is 1 in 1000.

However, it’s not necessarily random, as Nick Perry’s “666 Fix” has shown. Nick Perry rigged the Pennsylvania state lottery on April 24, 1980, and was convicted of criminal conspiracy, criminal mischief, theft by deception, rigging a publicly exhibited contest, and perjury.

You think it was random luck that 9-1-1 came up on 9/11? Neither do I. Consequently, my answers is that probability wasn’t involved, that there was 100% chance that it would occur on that day, and my approach is neither classical, relative frequency nor subjective, but rather cynical.
