how can i turn my stubborn cat into a lap cat?

we got our cat when he was 10 weeks old. he’s spayed and when he was little he was a bit more cuddly. if you put him on your lap he will pull away or something. how do we make him a bit more cuddly?

if you try to make a cat a lap cat then it will never become one. the longer you have a cat the more they tend to like you and from my experience.. fat cats are more wanting to be lap cats for some reason.
