How do you prepare a welcome function for a group of foreign business partners?

It is their first time visiting your country and they are interested to join the business scene here. If everything should work well, they would your business proposal which is very important to your company.

Study the social, political, and business environment of their country. You would get a better understanding of what is important to them and what is not. Some people think that a fancy party is a waste of time and money. Some might be very into seeing the highlights of the area. Some may consider it important for the meetings to be very formal. Some may not.
I would prepare an explanation of the area that you are in. What historical, economic, and social things are different in your town. I would be cautious about spending a lot of money to entertain them unless your studying warrants it. I would allow them free time within the visit to do other things like shopping or sightseeing. But give them the opportunity to have you take them around or get a cab to take them around.
Short – Make them feel welcome with a lot of enthusiasm and with a lot of things in your pocket if the situation changes.
