Gold is an element, which means that you can’t make it using any chemical process. In a sense, gold could be made through nuclear processes by bombarding another element with the right particles, but at a cost of Billions of dollars for the accellerator, you might just made a few millioniths of a gram of gold. No, friend, you can’t ‘make’ elements in any quantity.
There is plenty of gold around, the issue is finding, extracting and smelting it. The costs of production all have do to with these processes.
