Can friendship turn into TRUE love?

To be more specific… lets say two people who started off as friends start dating. A few months into the relationship they break up because she “didnt feel the spark.” Both people have a lot in common and are extremly compatible and have a great time together. They decide to remain friends. Here is the the question. Can this friendship turn into true love even though they dated at one period of time and it didnt work out. (this girl has had two brain surgeries and this guy has helped her through some rough times.. and she considers him a “really good friend). serious answers only please… i have posted this in two other sections… i am just trying to get a variety of opinions/answers… so if you have already answered you do not need to do it again.. thanks and sorry for the “spam”

Hon, this is the BEST love, and the TRUEST. So, there is no spark, huh? Don’t you realize that sparks start fires, and fires DO die down. One day that spark will be all gone, and that is why so many people move on to the next partner. They keep looking for that spark thing. If they could only figure out that a SPARK is NOT what REAL love is about. You take real love, and when it blooms, it develops sparks. And when you are “sparking” with the right person–the one you truly love—it glows for all your lives.
