How much is a taxi usually?

I live in suburban new york, so the nyc taxis don’t apply here. I have to go 11 miles, or roughly 20 minutes. About how much would that cost in a taxi? I know you can’t say for sure, but you probably have more of an idea of how a taxi charges than I do. I know nothing and have no perception of how much it may cost. It’s be great for some help / opinions.

The website below said that the taxi fare from Italian Pizza, 222 Henry St, Hempstead, NY 11550 (516) 538-3054 to JFK would be $27.69 for a Distance of 13.3 km. and Duration of 21 mins.. They broke it down as: jump in the taxi $2.50; 13.3 km. x $1.24 per km $16.20 (I love that you get this in kilometers!); waiting in traffic (~13 min.) $5.38; New York State Tax Surcharge $0.50; and Gratuity $3.61. Your results will vary when you enter in your exact origin and destination addresses.
