How to get a emaciated cat to gain weight?
I suppose she’s not REALLY emaciated…They feed her a scoop full of food for the entire day (she eats it throughout the day) She’s 12 years old and can’t seem to gain weight. She probably only weighs a few pounds, due to being all skin and bone. They have taken her to the vet, and she healthy beyond belief, no worms, nothing. The other problem is, she’s been using the bathroom everywhere but the kitty litter. While I’m great with dogs, I don’t know much about cats! Help please!!

Feed the cat raw red meat – any raw meat will do. Cooking any meat destroys the TAURINE in the meat and cats need TAURINE in their diets.
Can’t help with the indiscriminate pooping though, except to suggest scooping every time the cat uses the litter dish.
