how much should i feed and give water to my dog a day?
hes a boxer mix and he’s told to be around 50-60lbs. idk how much to feed him or giving water. he’s also 3 months old.
when they say cup does that mean measuring cup because thats how i’m doing it. and if the case is he needs water all the time then how do i know to bring him out to go to the bathroom?
The book “Smarter Than You Think” by dog trainer Paul Loeb not only has excellent guidelines for how to feed and water your dog to make housetraining as easy for both of you as possible, but tons of training advice that will benefit any new dog owner.
I housetrained and rehabilitated a “fractious” puppy who had spent the first six months of her life in a crate using what I learned from this book, and I now have a dog that is not only a pet, but a friend.
Remember: what goes in must come out. This book will tell you when to pick the water up so they can hold it through the night, how much food per lb, etc. Good luck!!
